Communicate@MCMC is a research-sharing session aimed at conveying and disseminating valuable research findings and the potential future direction of related research works supported by MCMC in furtherance of the aspirations to realise a Digitally Connected Society. The overarching theme of the webinar is related to aspects of a Digitally Connected Society, encompassing the concepts of Digital Inclusion, Digital Citizenship and Cyberwellness.
For Session 2/2023, the topic for the webinar is
Overview of 5G Workforce Skills and Competency in Malaysia.
The panel discussion highlighted the Study Conducted, its Key Findings and Recommendations, emphasising the following:
- Availability and opportunity of current skills and competency programmes in Malaysia related to 5G deployment;
- Effectiveness and gaps in the current Malaysian skills and competency programmes for 5G deployment;
- Perception of industry players on changes due to 5G deployment related to capacity-building requirements; and
- Recommendations on critical capacity-building programmes for future workforce competency requirements for 5G deployment.
