GEORGE TOWN, March 8 (Bernama) -- The Information Communication and Culture Ministry, through the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Penang branch of National Archives of Malaysia, will organise a P. Ramlee video contest via video-sharing website, Youtube, in conjuction with the 2012 Artists Day.
The contest, which requires the participants to show off their talents in singing or acting like P.Ramlee, will be organised with cooperation from Penang Arts and Culture Department, Information Department and Community Development Department.
According to the ministry's statement today, the winner will receive cash prize of RM1,000, while the first and second runner-ups will receive RM700 and RM500 respectively. Also available are three consolation prizes of RM100 each.
The contest is open to all, including foreigners, either in a solo or group and all entries must be five minutes or shorter in duration and must not violate any law of Malaysia, the statement said.
Entries should be uploaded to Youtube and the link should be emailed to broadbandutara@gmail.com before noon on March 19.
