Communications equipment are network facilities or customer equipment used for the purposes of communications under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Network facilities are any equipment used for the provision of network services either public-switched telephony, optical fibre, cellular, mobile, terrestrial, satellite and broadcasting.
Customer equipment are any equipment used on the customer side of a network service and all types of wireless devices. Examples are fixed-line or cellular phones, fax machine, modem, wireless router and gateway, optical transceiver, satellite receiver, mobile radio or walkie-talkie, smart and digital television, and any equipment or device using wireless technologies such as laptop, tablet, camera, watches, drone, baby monitor, CCTV and others.
