Invitation to Register Interest as Universal Service Provider

 

Qualified licensees are hereby invited to register their interest as a universal service provider for any or all of the 86 underserved districts in Malaysia.

 

Licensees are advised to read and understand the said Invitation before registering their interest as any licensee that registers their interest to be a universal service provider shall, by law, submit a draft universal service plan in accordance with the terms and conditions of the said Invitation. A licensee that fails to submit a draft universal service plan after registering their interest shall be deemed to be in contravention of the   Communications and Multimedia (Universal Service Provision ) Regulations 2002.

 

Licensees are also reminded to fill in the necessary claims template (as per Appendix 7 of the Invitation) and refer to the operator’s guide .

 

Licensees are also advised to refer to all the relevant documents and regulations relating to the Universal Service Provision on the MCMC website.
