SKMM Complaints Bureau

As the regulator for the converging communications and multimedia industry, Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) regulates and promotes the communications and multimedia industry encompassing telecommunications, broadcast, internet services, postal and courier services as well as digital certification.

SKMM plays its part by ensuring that consumers enjoy choice and satisfactory levels of service at affordable prices, where consumers benefit through the provisioning of necessary services and complaints are handled fairly and effectively, as well as monitor and facilitate the resolution of complaints received from consumers, in accordance with the provision of Sections 195 and 196 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

In line with the above, SKMM has set up the “SKMM Complaints Bureau” to receive and handle the complaints with regards to communications and multimedia services. With the establishment of this bureau, SKMM aims to strengthen its complaints monitoring and management function.
